Bringing the Christmas Spirit to the Sasha Bruce House

During the Winter Holidays 2013, I decided to do the "Kindness Action" and I contacted the Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) to donate toys for homeless kids. Instead, they mentioned that a Christmas tree would be a better idea since the Sasha Bruce House did not have one and it would be very special for the youth to get together to decorate it.

On December 16, 2013, after I bought some decoration I met George B. and George J. from SBY at a tree shop in Washington DC. We selected a very nice tree and brought it to the Sasha Bruce House. I was very happy to have the opportunity to bring the Christmas spirit to these homeless kids. I don't usually celebrate this holiday besides just spending time with my family, but I didn't mind to go shopping for them since I knew it would bring them happiness during hard times. I also want to thank my friend Mariela who donated the Christmas lights.

Do something for others. Help those in needs. Be grateful.
